booking Contract
When agreeing to book me, you will need to sign my online contract. Please find the terms and conditions of the booking below.

The Artist agrees to arrive, perform and depart the venue at the pre-organised times.

The Artist confirms to have necessary up-to-date insurances for both equipment and Public Liability. Equipment is maintained in a safe condition, and any appropriate music licenses will be obtained for the event.

A Booking Fee is needed to confirm your booking, which covers administrative services. This is 25% of the grand total unless agreed otherwise with The Artist. Please note that your booking is not fully confirmed until the booking fee is received and this contract is accepted. After the initial 10 days cooling period, the booking fee will be non-refundable.

Full payment will be due 1 month before the event. In the case of late payment, a charge will be incurred at £10 per day, starting from the day after the event.

Cancellations by The Client in the 14 days leading up to the event will be non-refundable. If The Artist has to cancel on The Client, either a suitable deputy will be found, or a full refund will be given to The Client.

Postponements by The Client in the 14 days leading up to the event may incur a small fee, depending on circumstance. Fees will be dropped in the case of (but not limited to) "Force Majeure".

In the case of a “Force Majeure” event where The Artist is not able to fulfil this contract (due to circumstances outside their control), The Artist will find a suitable deputy musician of equal standard and professionalism to step in for the event. If there are no appropriate deputies, then a full refund will be given to the Client. Force Majeure includes war, fire, death, serious illness, epidemic, accident, civil commotion, national calamity ETC.

8a. The Artist must be provided with a suitable changing area and a room to secure belongings. Any room with lighting, a locked door and somewhere to sit is perfect – for example bedrooms, storage room, offices etc.
8b. A hot meal and soft drinks must be provided for The Artist for bookings over 2 hours. The dietary requirement is vegetarian.
8c. Instrument, equipment, and property of The Artist must not be operated by any other individuals without explicit consent. The Artist reserves the right to bill for any damage inflicted upon any equipment resulting from unauthorised use at the event. If The Artist feels that their equipment is at reasonable risk, The Artist reserves the right to immediately revoke the use of their equipment. This includes, but is not limited to: dangerous conduct by guests, falling onto the stage and unauthorised use of instruments.
8d. The Artist reserves the right to deny service without refund if the behaviour of any person/s, poses a risk to their health, safety, equipment or livelihood. This includes grabbing and/or inappropriate touching of any kind towards The Artist.

9a. The Artist will require 1 mains plug socket.
9b. The Artist will need to plug into the DJ controller (or mixing desk of a PA) provided by The Client’s DJ or Venue. The Artist will plug in via an XLR or Jack cable, which The Artist will provide.
It is The Client's responsibility to let the DJ or venue know about The Artist plugging into their equipment.
9c. Should The Client require The Artist to provide a speaker or sound system, extra charges will be incurred.
9d. The Artist will require the DJ’s contact details to discuss the playlist for the event.

The Artist is happy to take up to 3 special requests (e.g. First Dance; favourite song; last song of the evening) that they will learn if they do not already know it. Please specify Special Requests up to 2 weeks before the event via email to info@saxophonique.com.

After the 3 special requests, the Client can suggest as many of their favourite songs/genres/artists as possible. The Artist will liaise with the DJ to make sure to accommodate the Client’s preferences.
Both parties will confirm the following agreement on acceptance of the booking.
In the following statements, ‘The Artist’ concerned is Catherine Hanson. ‘The Client’ is as stated in the booking form.
